The 85mm Club

My latest 85mm has arrived, a beautiful Super-Takumar 85/1.9 with original hood and case - this takes the collection to 7.

Just giving it a quick test this evening and remembered the 85mm Club so here are a couple of images....

Just as an aside...I created a Flickr group for the Pentax M85 F2.

In 2 and a half years I appear to have attracted one other brief contributor. If any of you folks have photos from this lens please consider adding them to the group. Someone might find it useful one day

Wow 7 85mm lenses

I have been experimenting with some 'Commie Lenses' on my DIGITAL Pentax K10D to see how they perform-- here are some results of a MC Jupiter -9 f2 85mm that I got at my Camera Club auction for £1-00 some years ago. It is 'M42' fit so I used the M42 adapter for Pentax and 'AV' exposure -- it is SOFT at full aperture but OK even ONE stop down at f2.8. One of my 'Test' subjects in Brentwood High Street at f2.8.
